'He lived a lively life' says his close pal Midge Ure
Former Simple Minds' drummer Kenny Hyslop, has died aged 73. Ultravox star, Midge Ure, 70, revealed the news as he paid tribute to his friend. Taking to X, formerly Twitter , he said: 'Just about to board the British Airways flight from JFK and heard my old friend/Slik/Simple Minds drummer Kenny Hyslop has passed way. He lived a lively life! Huge condolences to his friends and family. He was much loved.

Following the sad news of Kenny's death, fans of the Scot flocked to social media to pay their respects.
