A single mother of six from Dasmariñas, Cavite took home a whopping ₱200,000 after winning the grand prize in the first episode of the recently launched online game show ‘Pera o ScratchIt.’ Know more:
Go big or go home, Mean Bulatao did not waste her chance to grab the jackpot prize last Wednesday, February 15, despite tempting offers from host Master Long Mejia to trade her scratch cards for cash, which even reached ₱50,000.
“ScratchIt po talaga, laban hanggang dulo,” said Bulatao, who juggles being an online seller and taking part-time jobs to raise her children alone. ScratchIt, an instant ticket lottery game of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office , uses replicas of its scratch cards “Go Bananas” and “Go for Gold” during the game show where a contestant needs to have three matching amounts in any order, out of the nine possible amounts in the card. When asked how she plans to spend her winnings, Bulatao said: “Unang una po, dagdag puhunan. ‘Yung isang namatay ko rin po na anak kailangan alisin sa nitso… Gusto ko po i-cremate na lang at i-uwi sa bahay.
‘Pera o ScratchIt’ provides prizes every Wednesday at 3 p.m., allowing patrons to win up to ₱200,000.
