Sir Alex, 82, previously sold the horse in 2021 but decided to buy it back after Cathy passed away. He told how the six-year-old mare had "sentimental" value to him. She felt he was becoming too obsessed with his job at Old Trafford and encouraged him to take up a hobby. He said: "Around 1995 and 1996 I was definitely overdoing it and my wife was worried about me.
So we went to Cheltenham in 1996 and I got the bug. A little while later I said to Cathy 'Do you fancy buying a horse?' She said, 'Are you going mad?'."I said 'It would give us an interest' and she said 'It's not an interest for me, I'm not interested in horses'. She said 'You will probably want to buy them all,' which I have tried to do."
