Manchester United's decision to sell Scott McTominay to Napoli may not get the approval of Sir Alex Ferguson, who signed the Scottish midfielder as a child
Manchester United's decision to sell Scott McTominay to Napoli may not have gone down well with Sir Alex Ferguson .
McTominay's departure will disappoint many at Old Trafford, possibly including Ferguson, who signed the player as a child. Sir Alex has previously hailed the midfielder's big-game temperament, telling the Scottish FA's media channel in 2021: "Scott McTominay is now emerging as one of Man United's big players.
"McTominay is of a similar type to Darren long, lanky, good winner of the ball and a good turn of pace going forward, a great attitude to the game. All these attitudes that Darren Fletcher had, he's got them.
