Olympic icon Sir Chris Hoy, aged 48, has shared the devastating news that his cancer is now terminal. Furthermore, his wife Sarra, 40, is embattled with a ferocious form of Multiple Sclerosis.
In an attempt to protect their family from the inevitable media frenzy, Sir Chris and Sarra have made the decision to take their children on a two-week half-term break, hoping that the public attention will have abated by their return home. Sir Chris expressed his hope, tinged with worry, saying optimistically, "Hopefully the dust will have settled".Despite admitting his fears - "You know what? It may happen.
