Sir David Attenborough has bagged the TV Choice Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s prestigious ceremony for his contribution to natural history television.
The iconic presenter and national treasure, who has entertained millions of viewers over his career which has so far spanned 60 years, was presented with the award at his home in London. ‘Still working, learning and making programmes Sir David Attenborough isn’t just a British hero, he’s a global icon,’ TV Choice said.
Upon receiving his gong, David enthused: ‘Indeed. What I do isn’t always entertaining, and sometimes people hear things they don’t like!Tonight’s hotly-anticipated TV Choice Awards are hosted by comedian Katherine Ryan and will take place at The Hilton on Park Lane in London for the first time in its 10 year history.
