LOST AND FOUND: The Only Fools and Horses actor has welcomed daughter Abi Harris and grandson Charlie into his family with open arms Sir David Jason recently made a stunning discovery that he has a daughter named Abi Harris, who is 52 years old, and whom he had no knowledge of for her entire life.
Harris was born in 1970 after her mother, actress Jennifer Hill, had a brief relationship with the Only Fools and Horses star. Following this revelation, the 83-year-old TV icon is reportedly working on developing a relationship with his newfound daughter, who is also an actress, and her 10-year-old son, Charlie.. “However, on settling with the news, I am delighted that I am now able to get to know Abi and so we meet up when we can.
"My wife, Gill, and daughter, Sophie, have been very supportive and understanding and have embraced Abi and welcomed her and her young son, Charlie, into her now wider family", he added.Sir David said: “We hope we are all allowed the privacy to continue our new relationship and get to know each other more and more.” Abi and Charlie even spent some of the festive period with Sir David at his home in Ellesborough, Bucks.
The TV star is renowned for his portrayal of Derek"Del Boy" Trotter on the BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses. He has also headlined other prominent roles, such as Detective Inspector Jack Frost in A Touch of Frost, Granville in Open All Hours and Still Open All Hours and Pop Larkin in The Darling Buds Of May.
Harris, his daughter, is said to have pursued a similar career path, featuring in Doctor Who: The Eighth Of March, Strange Chemistry and The Avengers: The Comic Strip Adaptations Volume 7.
