Elton 'visited the local hospital as a precautionary measure' but is now 'back at home and in good health'
Sir Elton had pushed back at suggestions that he is retiring from music, however, clarifying that while he would “never be touring again”, he may do some “one-off” shows in future, while also teasing several future projects in the pipeline., including a secret battle with prostate cancer.
He said that surgery to treat his cancer had left him wearing a “giant nappy” during concerts, adding: “I don’t know if you’ve ever stood in front of 4,000 cheering fans, singing “Candle In The Wind” while literally p***ing yourself, but if you haven’t, I can tell you for a fact it’s quite an odd experience.”
The star also said he had been “24 hours from death” after a lymph node condition saw him hospitalised while touring South America.
