The strategic review into the ownership of Man Utd is set to end with investment from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and that should bring with it a decision on the future of Old Trafford.
One of the more significant reasons the Glazers undertook a "strategic review" into Manchester United was to try and find fundraising that would help with major capital projects hanging over their heads.
Ratcliffe's investment will improve the cash flow situation at United and the 70-year-old is also set to take a hands-on role when it comes to the sporting side of the club, but that leaves uncertainty around a stadium that was once best in class but isn't even the best ground in Manchester now. United appointed master planners for the project in March 2022 and the feasibility stage has come up with a range of options, including redeveloping Old Trafford and building a new stadium on the same site. It is understood Joel Glazer and United's powerbrokers are in favour of redevelopment.
"For fans at Old Trafford, we believe they deserve excellent facilities and experiences when attending matches," he said.
