Sir Rod Stewart loves this Glasgow pub so much, he visited it 10 times in 18 months.
With his own whisky brand, the Maggie May crooner is known to enjoy a trip to the pub - or 10.The team at Murphy's on Bell Street claimed Sir Rod stopped by 10 times in just a year and a half.He was spotted celebrating a Celtic win with Alan Brazil in the pub last November, and the team thanked him for coming in and even signing a bottle of his Wolfie's whisky for them.
"Ten visits in 18 months," they remarked. "I think it’s fair to say, Rod Stewart is part of The Murphy’s family." Sir Rod has been nicknamed the 'celebrity barman' by the pub staff as he previously got behind the bar and began pouring pints to punters.In February 2023, the Baby Jane hitmaker was filmed standing on the table and singing along to Grace and The Celtic Song with fellow punters after Celtic beatJoined by Scottish country singer Kevin McGuire and John McLaughlin - the singer from Glasgow-based band Johnny Mac & The Faithful - the trio performed the iconic hit Maggie May.
