'Dlava, she is so quiet. She was so lovely and so quiet and she took care of everyone – she used to take care of everybody'
The sister of Dlava Mohamed, who was tragically killed in a car crash on Monday evening en route to a debs dance, has paid tribute to her much loved sibling.
Lilav spoke to Newstalk where she described the joy 16-year-old Dlava felt on the evening of the debs, saying she had been "so happy with herself". "Dlava, she is so quiet. She was so lovely and so quiet and she took care of everyone – she used to take care of everybody," she continued."She would do anything for you."
The hearse drove to Newcastle Muslim Cemetery in Dublin under a Garda escort before Dlava was finally laid to rest. "They ran away from Syria because they didn’t feel safe, looking for protection and unfortunately the place where they felt they would be safe, they were hit with this tragedy. "We believe we are all travelling to God, it’s a step in our trip where we all will be united. Home and our home is paradise.
