Sister of 'vulnerable' teen who died after taking single ecstasy pill shares heartbreaking pic of him on life support
THE sister of a “vulnerable” teenager who died after taking a single ecstasy pill has shared a heartbreaking photo of him shortly before he died.
In an emotional message she added: "James is proof that drugs can kill. He wasn't a drug addict, it only takes one time." His former foster carer Jacqui Kirk, who looked after James between 15 and 18, described him as “very complex and vulnerable” and said he would “have done anything for friendship”.She said James had told her he had taken drugs once before, but he said he did so “accidentally”.
Dr Mark Withers, a consultant anaesthetist at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, said James was admitted to A&E on the evening of July 23 last year.James is proof that drugs can kill. He wasn't a drug addict, it only takes one time"Everything was done to try and give him a chance to survive, but as the evening went on it sadly became clear that James's death was probably inevitable.
After James’ death his sister paid tribute to her brother and warned other young adults against using ecstasy.She said: "James was a very happy person who just wanted to have fun. He was very vulnerable due to his foetal alcohol spectrum disorder and very easily led.
