Latest Manchester United news as Arsenal prepare for the visit of Ruben Amorim's men without a number of players
Manchester United and Ruben Amorim will travel to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night knowing the odds are heavily stacked against them.
Of particular concern is stalwart defender Gabriel Magalhaes, who has been forced off in recent matches. Gabriel was substituted in the wins against Sporting and West Ham, despite scoring in both games. Gabriel has sparked hope among Arsenal fans that he might be in the starting line-up against United after posting on Instagram: "+3 and we continue fighting together! Thanks for your support Gunners! See you on Wednesday!" accompanied by a bicep and red heart emoji.
Doubts also linger over two midfielders, Mikel Merino and Thomas Partey, who both missed the West Ham victory. "Unfortunately they both picked an injury and the game came too early and they couldn't be part of the squad," Arteta revealed. Merino is dealing with a knee issue, while Partey has an unspecified muscle injury.
