What do you want to see on the high street?
Watford High Street is constantly going through changes, with new shops coming and going and different businesses taking over.Unit 3, 135 The ParadeThis is situated at the top end of the High Street, along the same strip of road as Creams, the dessert parlour.Watford BID have not confirmed what is happening to this unit.This used to house the charity shop Barnardo's which sold clothes, household goods and other second hand items.
The pub is currently under offer and an agreement for a business to take over the empty premises is expected soon.Barrio the bar occupied this unit in town which has recently closed its doors after opening only nine months ago. The plan for this building is unknown as the company who own Barrio, Nightcap have stated that the bar is"closed for the summer."This unit which is currently unoccupied used to house Sweet Time, a newsagents which had been open since 1985.
The shop has had it's big sign taken down but from what we could see no work to replace the newsagents has begun.This used to be Auto Mobility Concepts, which sold mobility aids.The company have yet to confirm what is happening with this shop.This unit is not empty yet but Shoe Zone will be closing in Watford soon, with the shop displaying sale signs in preparation for it's closure.
