Police investigate suspicious death in Skegness. Man found near railway track and Tesco car park

Police have launched an investigation into the suspicious death of a man in Skegness. The man's body was discovered in the area between the railway track and the Tesco car park in the town, following a call received at 12.25pm on Monday, 3 July.

Upon arrival, officers confirmed the man's death. Current efforts are focused on determining the cause of death and identifying the deceased's next of kin. The road from the services entrance to the superstore at William Way is closed. The East Midlands Special Operations Unit is leading the investigation, with forensic specialists conducting an examination of the scene. They are expected to remain in the area for several days.Lincolnshire Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area between 10am on Sunday, 2 July, and 12:25pm on 3 July, and may have noticed anything unusual, to come forward.
