EXCLUSIVE: Sky Sports presenter Jo Wilson, 37, has been left ‘wiped out’ after finishing her gruelling cancer treatment
Earlier this month, TV presenter Jo Wilson revealed exclusively to OK! that she had been diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer this summer.
Jo, who’s been off work since the diagnosis, says her focus is now on “recovering and building up my strength,” after losing a stone when treatment shattered her appetite. After describing cancer as the “the biggest challenge of my life”, she’s determined to remain positive, though admits there are inevitably dark times when fears creep in.“When I was going for treatment every day it felt like something pro-active was happening in terms of treating the disease,” she explains.
“I showed Mabel the pictures of us in the magazine and she kept pointing at them saying ‘mamma’ and ‘baby’! She’s obviously not aware what it was all about, but I will keep a copy and print out some of the photos of me and her to show her in the future.” “People got in touch to say they’d immediately booked in for overdue smear tests. Those messages actually gave me a huge boost and reminded me why I had shared the news. They really helped lift my spirits."
