Sky is giving away free Netflix as it shakes up its TV and streaming plans
Sky has made a big change to its popular packages while dropping its prices to the lowest ever. The provider has extended the commitment period for its TV and broadband plans from 18 months to 24 months, aligning itself with rivals like BT who have long demanded longer contract periods, The Mirror reports.
The deal includes the latest Sky Stream box, which uses the internet to deliver TV, film and sports without the need for a satellite dish. Sky Stream includes the same channels as traditional Sky, including Sky Atlantic, Sky Documentaries, Comedy Central and National Geographic, as well as giving easy access to Netflix absolutely free.
Sky Stream offers an easy DIY set-up, personalised recommendations, full integration with apps such as Disney+ and Prime Video and the ability to store content for later viewing through the online Playlists function. It also includes a backlit remote control, the capability to pause live TV and a range of voice search functions.
