The Southern Livestock Exposition Rodeo 2024 Kickoff Parade, originally scheduled for Friday at noon in downtown Montgomery, is cancelled due to the threat of inclement weather.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Southern Livestock Exposition Rodeo 2024 Kickoff Parade, originally scheduled for Friday at noon in downtown Montgomery, has been cancelled due to the threat of inclement weather.

The SLE Rodeo Parade Committee made the difficult decision to cancel Thursday afternoon after consulting with Montgomery-area meteorologists and finding that there is a 97% chance of thunderstorms from mid-morning through mid-afternoon. The SLE Rodeo itself however is still scheduled to begin on time, inside the Garrett Coliseum at 7 p.m. on Friday.
