Feyenoord have announced Arne Slot will leave as manager after the weekend with Liverpool now confirmed as his next destination
Feyenoord boss Arne Slot has confirmed he will succeed Jurgen Klopp as the next manager of Liverpool.
Slot held his regular pre-match press conference for the fixture earlier in the afternoon during which he was directly asked about the Liverpool job. READ MORE: Jurgen Klopp take on FSG strategy and private arguments in candid interview before Liverpool exitLiverpool have yet to officially confirm Slot's arrival, although it is understood they last month thrashed out a compensation package with Feyenoord for the manager that could be eventually worth up to £9.4million .
“The fact that you know that it is coming, that helps to do it in a nice way, both from the club to me and from me to the people I have worked with,” said Slot. “If you leave in the middle of the season, then perhaps the personal issue will come out of nowhere.
