The health board has warned it may have to make temporary changes to visiting policies at short notice in order to reduce the spread of infection
Small, localised clusters of coronavirus cases are being seen at healthcare facilities across Dumfries and Galloway.Officials expect the risk of infection with Covid-19, flu and other respiratory diseases to rise during winter with older people, care home residents and those with existing medical conditions most vulnerable.
“If you are planning to visit someone in hospital or a care home, please do it safely. Don’t visit if you have any symptoms of respiratory illness such as a cough, a sore throat or a high temperature.
