Smart Communications, Inc. teamed up with Silicon Valley-based fintech startup Plentina so customers can buy pre-paid load via the latter’s mobile app.
Under the partnership, Smart subscribers can access a Buy Now, Pay Later service to take out a micro consumer loan to pay for their load via Plentina.
“Our tie-up with Plentina provides a financial service that caters to the broader base of prepaid customers,” he noted. “Smart and Plentina have the same DNA – we both want to make Filipino lives better,” explained Earl Valencia, Chief Business Officer and Co-Founder of Plentina.
