A new SMC-led consortium takes over NAIA operations next month
San Miguel Corporation, which leads the consortium that will take over the management, maintenance, and operations of Ninoy Aquino International Airport in September, has confirmed that curbside fees may be imposed on vehicles that linger at NAIA departure areas after dropping off passengers.
The confirmation came via a disclosure made to the Philippine Stock Exchange in relation to an article published by Business World.Motorists with no tollway RFID, insufficient load will be fined effective August 31“In other countries, there’s a curbside fee,” the article quoted SMC president and CEO Ramon S. Ang as saying. “In short, you are free to drop off your passenger for a while, but if you stay beyond , you will be charged. We are fine-tuning it; we are studying it.
