A SMOKER was slapped with a whopping £578 fine after dropping a cigarette butt on the floor after wardens tracked him down using CCTV.
After car parking officials realised that he had fibbed, they tracked him down and was summoned to Basingstoke Magistrates Court on March 28. This comes after claims that wardens have been following people down the street as they have a puff, waiting for them to discard the smoke on the floor.Since then there have been 513 fines issued - 11 for dog business, 16 for dropping litter from vehicles and 486 for litter being dropped - like in Glen's case.
