Uber Eats said that EBT card recipients will now be able to use their benefits directly on the app for food delivery.
SNAP recipients will now have a new vehicle to get their food benefits: Uber.SNAP, or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, is a federal program that offers low-income Americans financial help in buying food. The aid comes through EBT cards, but this payment option has historically been limited to just grocery stores.
'At Uber, we believe healthy foods should be accessible to all,' said Karl Hebert, vice president of Payments, Risk, and Identity at Uber, in a statement. 'We are excited to partner with Forage to provide our customers the same seamless payments experience they've become accustomed to on Uber when using their SNAP benefits.

SNAP Distribution in DelawareThe First State begins the distribution of SNAP on the 2nd of each month. Payments are distributed for most of the month. The first letters of recipients’ last names determine the issuance dates for their payments.
