FiveTen/Adidas snuck some new kicks into Crankworx Whistler, including the incoming Kestrel BOA and several Breast Cancer Awareness shoes.
If you like lightweight clip-in shoes, recycled materials and charitable actions, check out what FiveTen has coming this fall and next spring. The big release is their new Kestrel BOA, a lightweight clip-in shoe aimed at gravel or downcountry/XC riders.
FiveTen’s parent company Adidas has also created a Breast Cancer Awareness collection, featuring several shoe models for riding, running or hiking. For the month of October, proceeds from these shoe sales will be donated to support women and men who are fighting the disease. These shoes haven’t been officially released yet, but we found them on display at Crankworx Whistler and got some details on the incoming models.
The sole of the Kestrel BOA features FiveTen’s Stealth Marathon rubber to provide a little grip when you’re taking a break on the trailside, or grabbing a post-ride beverage. Their full length plate is made from repurposed materials with glass fiber reinforcement. The Kestrel BOA will officially launch next April. MSRP is $230.When FiveTen’s Bike Footwear Category Director Luke Hontz found out his mother had been diagnosed with breast cancer, he wanted to do something to help.
boasting their Breast Cancer Awareness colors and graphics. The Freehiker 2 is an updated model, and we don’t have details on it yet. The Agravic Ultra is a running shoe. Adidas’ Ultraboost running shoe will also be part of the Breast Cancer Awareness collection. All shoes in this collection will be available in women’s and men’s sizes, so anyone can show their support and make a donation to a good cause.The Breast Cancer Awareness collection will launch in late September and be sold through October, the official Breast Cancer Awareness month.
