Glasgow sniffer dog uncovers 50,000 illegal cigarettes during Govanhill shop search

Tobacco detection dog Boo was on hand to assist Trading Standards officers in searches of a number of shops in the area.

Four premises were visited as Operation CeCe Scotland, a joint initiative between Scottish Trading Standards Services and HMRC to tackle the illegal tobacco trade at the retail level.Boo was able to find illicit cigarettes that otherwise wouldn't be visible during a routine inspection with around 50,000 uncovered.
