In what's described as the last step before the Eiffel Tower, Snoop Dogg will carry the famous torch through a Paris suburb.
Snoop Dogg will carry the Olympic torch in the final stages of its journey, just before it heads towards the Eiffel Tower. The US rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr, is in Paris as a special correspondent for Sky's partner network NBC. Snoop, 52, shared a photo of himself outside the city hall Hotel de Ville with the caption: 'U Ready? Paris 2024 Olympics ya digggg.
The 68th stage of the torch relay will see it travel through the Olympic Village and past both the Aquatics Centre and the Stade de France, before it is taken to the banks of the Seine. Athletes will parade on boats up the central Paris river for the opening ceremony on Friday night. While this week is Snoop's turn, other rappers have carried the Olympic torch during previous games.
