'We were able to do so much with relatively little drilling'
Snowline Gold is continuing to drill to understand the potential dimensions of the Valley gold discovery at its Rogue project in Yukon, Canada, CEO Scott Berdahl told Mining Journal at the 2024 Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek in Colorado, USA.The company published an initial resource in June of more than 7Moz grading over 1.4gpt in all categories. Only 28,000m were drilled into it, and most of that was near the surface.
This, in turn, has enabled the company to stay financed in a difficult market for junior explorers and keep several drills turning."This is the dream run, the best-case scenario. It gives me a new appreciation for the junior industry as a whole. It is a tough space and we've been on a great run. With the exploration success right at the gate and getting very good results from early on, the project has set itself apart from an early stage, and that's attracted capital.
