Police Scotland chief constable Jo Farrell refused to say when the long-running case involving £600,000 in donations for independence campaigning would end.
Police Scotland 's chief constable has said the investigation into the SNP 's finances is "still ongoing".
Earlier this year the SNP’s former chief executive Peter Murrell, the husband of former first minister Nicola Sturgeon, was rearrested and charged in connection with embezzlement of party funds. Asked for an update on the investigation, known as Operation Branchform, Farrell told Sky News: "That inquiry is ongoing."
