The Nationalists have submitted an amendment to the King's Speech which calls on the UK Government to support a ceasefire.
The SNP is putting pressure on Labour by attempting to force a vote on an Israel-Gaza ceasefire in the House of Commons.
Labour leader Keir Starmer has so far failed to back a ceasefire, instead arguing for "humanitarian pauses" to allow people to leave Gaza and aid to get in. Hussein said he couldn't serve as a shadow minister "in all good conscience" as he wanted to advocate for a ceasefire. The Record had previously reported that Sarwar was "unhappy" with how Starmer was approaching the conflict.
