The last two FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 matches take place this weekend, including one final opportunity to show some love to the Matildas in the Third Place Playoff at Suncorp Stadium.
Also winding up over the weekend is the Ekka for another year. With attendance records being smashed, there’s more life than ever in the Show, and it would be a shame to miss out. Looking for more ideas? A new Queensland Theatre production is starting in previews, there’s a live Bollywood dance production and a drag fiesta too. And if you need something to calm you down on Sunday, there’s the free spectacle of hundreds of kites floating above the city.Credit:Bollywood tropes are both celebrated and skewered in this lavish satirical piece by Nakhre Crew of Brisbane’s Dance Masala Bollywood Dance Company.
