Leicester City have signed Socceroos defender Harry Souttar in a $26 million deadline-day deal from Championship side Stoke City.

That is a record transfer for a Socceroos player, eclipsing the total Huddersfield paid for Aaron Mooy. One of the defining moments from the Socceroos' campaign was Souttar's last-ditch tackle to deny Tunisia a goal-scoring chance in Australia's 1-0 group stage win.
