An inquest has revealed the tragic circumstances in which a "loving" and "sociable" grandfather was found deceased in a car park, leaving his family dumbfounded.
His daughter said her father was "quite a private person" who seldom shared difficulties with others. Noel had been grappling with health challenges and in 2021, received a diagnosis for a chronic illness, which was seemingly unknown to his family. His background included a prison term from 2016 until 2019, and by 2022, he faced battles with heavy drinking and was receiving weekly injections to help control his weight.
The tragic death of a man was confirmed by a paramedic at the scene, with police cordoning off the area while a firearms unit addressed a live weapon, according to details shared in a recent meeting. A post-mortem examination determined that the man, Noel, had sustained a fatal gunshot injury.
