Loreburn Housing Association is calling on Dumfries and Galloway Council to “work with housing associations to protect vulnerable residents'.
A social housing landlord fears council budget cuts could affect vulnerable groups in Dumfries and Galloway .
Ideas forming part of the consultation include ending support for the Youth Beatz festival in Dumfries, reducing teaching numbers and “End policy investment funding supporting tackling poverty and inequality measures”, the latter of which could save £630,000. Officials also want clarity on the housing budget and a commitment to address the “affordable housing crisis”
