Woman accepts £250k engagement ring - despite turning down the proposal
A SOCIALITE has revealed she accepted a £250,000 engagement ring - despite turning down the man's proposal.
Amanda Cronin, from London, was given the Van Cleef & Arpels sparkler by a handsome stranger - who first propositioned her in a New York hotel.Credit: InstagramCredit: Instagram The globe-trotting Instagram model, who's known for having 'the longest legs in Belgravia', claims her suitor is "one of the most powerful men in Northern Europe".: "I noticed a very good-looking older man making eye contact. He gave me his number and first name."
Amanda, who has 51,900 followers, says she texted him the next day, and her phone immediately "blew up with pages of love texts".Amanda is currently holidaying in the MaldivesShe added: "I said I can’t possibly meet him. He said he was prepared to dissolve his marriage immediately and then he proposed.
"Eventually we met up in London and he proposed again, this time with a ten-carat ring. But it was getting all too weird. I offered him the ring back but he said it would make him happy if I kept it.
