A hiker had to be airlifted to hospital after a horror fall in the Cairngorms
Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team raced to Loch Etchachan on Monday afternoon after they were alerted by a group of five walkers who witnessed the solo climber fall.
Low cloud meant the rescue helicopter team were working in difficult conditions, however they were eventually able to safely extract the casualty from the hillside. CMRT also thanked Cairngorm Mountain Resort who helped transport team members and their kit to the scene.
