Tens of thousands of Xcel customers in Colorado were still without power Sunday night after a windstorm swept through the Denver metro area and Front Range Saturday into Sunday morning. Jeffco Public Schools said some schools are closed"due to prolonged power outages at the school buildings" after a weekend windstorm. All other Jeffco schools are open, with school in session, the district said. Gaskill Elementary School in Littleton is also closed Monday due to a power outage, according to the Littleton Public Schools website.the district said on its website
