56 mid-size pickup trucks could have the wrong tires and the wrong stickers associated with that rubber
Chevrolet just recalled 56 Colorado trucks over potential tire safety issues. The trucks in question might have the wrong tires, the wrong tire safety stickers, or both. Though the recall population includes just 56 vehicles, GM believes that all are affected. A few decades ago, the idea of a turnkey off-road pickup truck was nowhere near as popular as it is today. One vehicle that leans into that niche is the Chevrolet Colorado and one aspect of its design is specialized tire choice.

Chevrolet also describes how it wants dealers to check the trucks in question. First, techs working on the Trail Boss should look for 275/60/R20 tires. If they're not on all four corners then the truck fails. Second, they need to check the door jamb sticker to confirm that it matches the correct tire size.
