Police in Connecticut are reporting issues with 911 calls on Tuesday.
Police departments across the state have been having issues with 911 calls, routine calls or both on Tuesday afternoon and a state emergency alert went out notifying residents.
“DESPP is coordinating with partners and working on resolving the issue,’’ Clayton Northgraves, director of Statewide Emergency Communications, said in a statement. The Office of the Essex Fire Marshal said, in the event of an emergency, call 860-876-5936 if you cannot get through to 911.911 is temporarily down statewide and incoming calls to HPD dispatch is intermittent.
In the interim, if you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, you can call the Yale emergency call center at 203-432-4400. Again, if you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 203-432-4400.
