Former AFL player Cameron Cloke has retired from all levels of football on the advice of doctors after suffering a concussion in an off-the-ball clash with a rival captain. 7NEWS

The 38-year-old Templestowe forward said he did not anticipate being forced into retirement but would now focus on his family, devastated that his three children saw him hurt.
