The son of a couple killed in fatal lunchtime poisoning in Victoria has shared a touching tribute to his parents at a public memorial service.
Gail and Don Patterson, both 70, were farewelled at Korumburra Recreation Centre in South Gippsland on Thursday, weeks after their deaths.after eating a beef wellington dish at the home of their son’s ex-wife Erin Patterson.

Picture: Supplied “They were extremely thoughtful and generous towards others. When we moved out of home it wasn’t uncommon for mum to drop off washing detergent and fresh chicken.”
Don’s brother Colin, the couple’s former English student Amy and Reverend Dr Fran Grimes all shared heartwarming words at the memorial.The pair had known each other since they were children and later married in 1973. buried last week in a private ceremonyThe memorial was Mr Patterson’s first public address since his former wife Ms Patterson, 48, invited his parents Gail and Don for beef wellington at her home in Leongatha home in South Gippsland on July 29.
