SOPHIE, Countess of Wessex had a 'serious relationship' with an Australian ski instructor and 'followed him' back to Australia before she married Prince Edward, journalist Garth Gibbs claimed in a documentary.
Mr Gibbs spoke on the 1999 documentary, ‘Prince Edward & Sophie Rhys-Jones: The True Story’.Speaking about Sophie at the time, Mr Gibbs said: “She’s 34, she’s been around the block.“The Australian ski instructor was the most serious, I think.“She followed him back to Aussie but then it cooled down.
