Sotheby’s and Karlie Kloss hosted an intimate dinner celebrating their partnership for this season’s Contemporary Curated auction.
Despite the snow-lined streets that blanketed New York City on Tuesday night, art aficionados, collectors, and luminaries across fashion and media gathered for an intimate dinner at Sotheby’s New York to celebrate the auction house’s latest Contemporary Curated auction with this season’s guest curator, Karlie Kloss. As the elevator doors opened to the third-floor gallery where the festivities took place, guests were greeted by artworks—mostly by women artists—curated by Kloss herself.
“An early Valentine’s Day dinner,” as Kloss described. Before courses were served, Sotheby’s CEO Charles F. Stewart thanked Kloss for her contributions as guest curator, and commended her for her work with Kode With Klossy—a non-profit organization that provides young girls with opportunities to dip their toes into the world of tech and coding.
