Invergarven School was graded as ‘very good’ across two quality indicators following a spot check by Education Scotland.
An additional support needs school in Girvan has been praised for its delivery of education to the 22 pupils it serves.
Among the key findings, Education Scotland said teachers provided “creative, high quality learning experiences” and they used music in lessons “very effectively” to “enrich learning.” Invergarven School is a non-denominational special school serving Girvan and the surrounding area. It provides education for pupils aged five to 19 with significant additional support needs and in some cases, complex medical and health needs. There are 22 children and young people across four classes.
In the quality indicators relating to learning, teaching and assessment, they were graded ‘very good’ while the same grading applied to raising attainment and achievement.
