Two men have been arrested following a report of an aggravated burglary in South Belfast area on Monday morning.
The PSNI attended and officers from Belfast Harbour Police had already stopped the two men after they threw a number of items into nearby water.The items included various stolen goods, which were later detained by Belfast Harbour Police officers.
A PSNI spokesperson added: “We are also treating these two men as suspects in relation to a report of an earlier aggravated burglary in the Knockbreda Park area. “This was a terrifying experience for the occupants of the property and our investigation is now underway to establish what happened, who was involved, and a motive.
