South Central Alabama city, county donates new radiology equipment to community hospital

Montgomery, Alabama

Recently, all of the Crenshaw Community Hospital’s radiology equipment quit working or was reaching the end of its life. With Crenshaw County being a very rural area, and the next major hospital being over 50 miles away, the city of Luverne and the Crenshaw County Commission realized they needed to do something quickly.

They worked together to provide funding for a new CT scanner, digital x-ray machine, and a contrast injector. With the new equipment, Crenshaw Community Hospital can now offer radiology services that patients were having to travel outside the area to get.
