An MP is urging vulnerable residents in Shropshire to check their eligibility for help with heating costs as winter continues to bite across the region.
MP, Stuart Anderson has thrown his weight behind Energy Savers Week that aims to raise awareness about energy efficiency, how to reduce energy bills, and how we can combat fuel poverty.
Citizen's Advice reported that it helped almost 60,000 households who were struggling to resolve problems with their energy bills last year.on his website that he hopes will supply Shropshire residents with useful information on how to keep energy bills as low as possible. Mr Anderson said that, according to the Census, just 42 per cent of households used main gas central heating in South Shropshire, compared with a national average of 73 per cent across the country.
