The Saints still hold hopes of gategrashing the top two but will be without a key player this weekend
Southampton's hopes of an automatic promotion place are fading after a winless Easter weekend - and now manager Russell Martin has confirmed a big injury blow for their game at Blackburn on Saturday.
Southampton are now 12 points behind Leeds in second place, although they do have two games in hand, with a play-off spot looking more likely for the south coast side. They come to Elland Road on the final day of the season, but before then take on a Blackburn side who defeated Sunderland 5-1 at the Stadum of Light on Monday.
