The team said the display would be cancelled due to 'unforeseen circumstances'
One of the most recognisable displays at Southport Air Show was forced to pull out last minute due to safety concerns on Sunday. Southport Air Show entered its second day on Sunday, July 14, after a successful opening day which saw thousands flock to the Merseyside town.
The post said: "Due to unforeseen circumstances we have unfortunately had to cancel todays display at Southport Air Show." In a second post, the team said: "The decision comes from a safety perspective, as much as we would have preferred to display, we only want to do so if it's safe to do so."
