Axel Rudakubana, 18, was sentenced to 13 life terms for the murders of three children and the attempted murders of several others at a Taylor Swift-themed party in Southport.
A merciless killer named Axel Rudakubana brutally murdered three children and seriously injured eight others. Despite his horrific actions, Rudakubana, who was only 17 at the time of the attack, showed no remorse even as he was sentenced to 13 life terms. The shocking details of the attack, which unfolded at a Taylor Swift -themed yoga and dance party in Southport last year, emerged during his sentencing hearing.
Rudakubana, now 18, purchased a knife on Amazon and calmly walked into the party without uttering a word. CCTV footage captured him entering the studio where children were singing Taylor Swift songs and making bracelets. Within seconds, screams erupted as Rudakubana launched a 15-minute knife attack. Nine-year-old Alice da Silva Aguiar, six-year-old Bebe King, and seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe tragically lost their lives in the attack. Eight other children, along with a class instructor and a businessman, were also targeted. Rudakubana remained silent during police interviews but made chilling unsolicited comments expressing his satisfaction with the deaths. He stated, 'It's a good thing those children are dead. I'm so glad, I'm so happy.'The court heard horrific details of the children's injuries. Elsie suffered dozens of sharp force injuries, including defensive wounds, and died of multiple stab wounds. Bebe, the youngest victim, had sustained injuries to her neck and back, some believed to have been inflicted after she died. Alice managed to escape the studio but succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The families of the victims were left devastated by the senseless violence. Judge Mr Justice Goose described Rudakubana as 'highly dangerous' and imposed a minimum sentence of 52 years, making his early release unlikely
